With the theme “Barangay Para sa Kalikasan, Matatag na Kinabukasan,” this year’s Congress placed a spotlight on the urgent environmental challenges confronting communities. Topics ranged from solid waste management and disaster preparedness to climate adaptation and sustainable livelihood programs. Experts and resource speakers underscored the importance of empowering barangays to serve as frontliners in protecting the environment while ensuring community resilience.
Beyond environmental discussions, the Congress also fostered collaboration among local leaders, sharing of best practices, and networking opportunities with partner agencies and sponsors. This created a stronger foundation for collective action, ensuring that every barangay is equipped and inspired to take part in nation-building.
The 2025 National Congress – Cluster 1 reaffirmed the shared mission of the country’s barangays: to build more developed, resilient, and effective local governance, proving once again that unity in action leads to progress for all.
